Barton Grange Garden Centre
Barton Grange Garden Centre and Marina is locally famous for a good afternoon out. Not your run of the mill Garden Centre, there is a stunning houseplant department and all weather outdoor plan area, plenty of books and inspirational displays to encourage even a budding gardener into a fully bloomed horticulturist. The staff are helpful gardening experts who are happy to give advice and inspiration when you need it. With a large stock of outdoor furniture, barbecues and much more, here you’ll find everything you need to kit out your new lodge for stylish outdoor dining and entertaining.
The Cook Shop is a chef’s dream and whether you are cooking an extravagant meal or just baking some treats, you’re guaranteed to find what you need here. All the most sought after ranges are here: Le Creuset, Kitchen Aid, Emma Bridgewater, Brabantia, to name just a few.
The Barton Grange Farm Shop stocks a range of locally sourced produce and speciality foods. The Butcher’s counter is run by Honeywell’s Meats (another local favourite, renowned for high quality produce) and is stocked with top choice meat sourced from local livestock. The Baker’s counter houses tempting treats made by Barton Grange themselves and the well-known Latham’s of Broughton. This section should be sign posted with a health warning as it’s near impossible to resist!
If the cake counter doesn’t grab you then the terrifically tasty “Topping’s Treats” sweet shop on the way out will do! With bright and bold sweeties and creamy, delicious ice-cream the sweet shop is a reason on its own to pay BG a visit. As if all of this wasn’t enough, there is also the Riverside Café and Willows Restaurant which serve everything from a quick coffee to a three course meal or a traditional afternoon tea.
Barton Grange Marina
The Garden Centre is right next to the Marina which has berths for narrow boats and wide beams with electricity supplies to each berth and a water supply within close proximity. With direct access onto the Lancaster canal this marina is the ideal spot to moor your boat.
